Redress schemes in postal services - approval criteria
On 30 April 2008, Postcomm published its final approval criteria for redress schemes.
The Consumers, Estate Agents and Redress Act ("the CEAR Act", given Royal Assent on 19 July 2007), allows for the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform to require regulated postal operators to belong to a Postcomm-approved redress scheme, and the April document set out what the criteria for such schemes should be.
Today, Postcomm has approved IDRS Ltd’s application to run a redress scheme for postal services.
