Royal Mail's application for exemption from notification requirements for changes to international bulk mail products

1 August 2007

Postcomm, the independent regulator for postal services in the UK, is seeking views on Royal Mail's application for an exemption from the notification requirements set out in its licence for changes to the company's international bulk mail services.

It is important for Postcomm to get the views of a range of postal stakeholders, including other postal operators, postal users, Postwatch, trade associations and other interested parties in the postal sector. The regulator will carefully consider those views in making its decision on this request from Royal Mail.

Responses should be submitted to Postcomm by Wednesday 12 September 2007. The regulator expects to issue a final decision on Royal Mail's application by the end of November 2007.
