Postcomm issues a long term licence to Intercity Communications

Postcomm, the independent regulator for postal services, today issued a long term licence to Intercity Communications Ltd, to provide bulk mail services, consolidation (collection and sorting of mail) and tracked business-to-business services.

Following consultation, Postcomm considers that the services provided by Intercity will have no appreciable effect on the provision of a universal service throughout the UK, and will further the interests of users by promoting competition between postal operators.
