Postcomm consults on a long term licence for Royale

Postcomm today (16 June 2005) began a 30 day consultation on the proposed issue of a long term licence to Royale Research Ltd, to provide bulk mail services.

Postcomm is minded, subject to consultation, to grant a licence to Royale. We believe that the proposed services will further the interests of postal services users by promoting competition between postal operators, and that it will have no adverse effect on the provision of a universal postal service in the United Kingdom.
