Postcomm revises its consultation procedures

Postcomm today announced revised consultation procedures to reflect the variety of issues it deals with and the views expressed in a consultation with stakeholders last year.
The detailed procedures that Postcomm will aim to follow are as follows:
Regulatory policy framework issues (such as decisions on market opening or Royal Mail’s price control): a three-stage consultation, with stages 1 and 2 each taking two or three months and the last stage 30 days.
Royal Mail product changes and minor licence changes: three months.
Changes to Postcomm’s policies and procedures: three months.
Routine issuing of licences, licence enforcement action and issues covered by statute: the period required by statute.
