LDS Cambridge Limited was granted a licence (pdf, 270KB) on 2 April 2008. In accordance with the establishment of Consumer Focus, the abolition of Postwatch on 30 September 2008 and the transfer of its functions to Consumer Focus, several modifications were required to the licence for example to remove references to Postwatch. Following the issue of a proposals notice in August 2008, Postcomm modified the licence (pdf, 55 KB) in December 2008.
Under the licensing arrangements:
- LDS Cambridge Limited must comply with the mail integrity code and the common operational procedures code .
- licensed area mail carried by LDS Cambridge Limited will, unless exempted, carry a unique mail identification code marking LDS Cambridge Limited as the licensed operator responsible for carrying it.
