Nigel Stapleton, chairman
Nigel Stapleton has been Postcomm’s chairman since 16 January 2004, when he was appointed for an initial three-year term by the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry. On 2 November 2006 he was reappointed for a further four years, until 14 January 2011. He works two and a half days a week for us, combining this role with others as non-executive director of the London Stock Exchange plc and non-executive director of Reliance Security Group plc.
Mr Stapleton’s earlier business career included 18 years with Unilever and 13 years at publishing and information company Reed Elsevier.
Mr Stapleton is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has a degree in economics from Cambridge University.
